Creative Clay Retreat – Margaret River 2026

Deep Blue Ceramics invites members and friends to join a special Creative Clay Retreat hosted by Jolene Hewison (River Ceramics) in the stunning Margaret River region of Western Australia.

This fully immersive retreat offers a rare chance to slow down, reconnect with nature, and explore clay in a nurturing, inspiring environment. Surrounded by forest, lakes, and vineyards, participants will enjoy creativity, connection, and relaxation in equal measure.

Highlights

  • 4–6 nights (TBC) at Tanah Marah, a peaceful lakeside retreat surrounded by native bushland

  • Daily workshops with Jolene exploring handbuilding, wild clay, sculpture, pit firing, and creative surface decoration

  • Optional creative sessions, time for rest, and curated local experiences (vineyards, nature walks, etc.)

  • Fully catered accommodation in shared king-size chalets with ensuite rooms

Location
Tanah Marah, Margaret River (3 hours south of Perth or via flights to Busselton–Margaret River Airport). Transfers available.

Estimated Cost
From $2,750–$3,650 per person (estimate only). Includes all workshops, accommodation, catering, materials, and postage of finished works within Australia.

A Margaret River–based ceramic artist and educator, Jolene is known for her expressive, place-connected approach to clay and teaching. All workshop delivery and logistics will be managed by Jolene and her team.
